Edward de Vere Studies Conference Scholarship Fund

Each year, the Edward de Vere Studies Conference awards a research fellowship to a deserving applicant who desires to pursue study that advances our understanding of Edward de Vere and agrees to report on the result of his or her research at the EDVSC in the year following receipt of the fellowship. In 2004, an award of $6,000 was conferred by the EDVSC on Oxfordian editor and CU graduate, Stephanie Hopkins Hughes, in response to her proposal to study and transcribe letters of Sir Thomas Smith, one of Edward de Vere's tutors prior to his tutelage at Cecil House in London in the years following his father's death.

If you wish to contribute to the support of EDVSC Research Fellows, please direct your contribution to The Edward de Vere Studies Conference Scholarship Fund at Concordia University, 2811 NE Holman, Portland, OR 97211-6099. To receive detailed information on guidelines for applying for a fellowship and an application form, contact Professor Daniel Wright at dwright@cu-portland.edu; the deadline for receipt of all applications and supporting materials is 3 December of each calendar year.
